Jim was born and raised in central Ohio. Among his earliest memories are hearing pheasants cackling and bobwhite quail calling from fields behind the family home, and catching frogs and turtles in the creek down the road. He says the wonder and joy of such things has never left. He has had a lifelong predisposition for conservation and considers being part of the SBTH team a great honor.
Jim holds Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees, both from Ohio State. He and his wife Tisha have three daughters and three grandchildren.
